YouTube comment finder

A YouTube comment finder searches the comments on a public YouTube video or Short for a word, a phrase or a username. This one works without a login: paste the video link, type what you are looking for, and the list narrows to the matching comments and replies. Find your own comment, sort by likes, newest or oldest, and export the result as a CSV.

YouTube does not have a search box inside the comment section, and the comment history in your account only shows comments YouTube decided to keep in that list. The quickest way to find a comment is to load the video here and type the channel name that wrote it. The list narrows to that channel's comments and replies.

The finder loads up to 300 top comments and the replies YouTube shows with them, in the order YouTube ranks them. A comment far down a thread with tens of thousands of comments may not be in the first 300. For those, the Adlicio extension collects the whole thread.

Search by keyword or phrase

Type any word and the list keeps only the comments and replies that contain it. Search for a product name to see what viewers asked about, a timestamp to find the moment everyone reacted to, or a question mark to list the questions.

Sort by likes, newest or oldest

Most liked shows what the audience agreed with. Newest shows what people say now. Oldest reads the thread in order, which is the way to find the first comment on a video.

Export YouTube comments to CSV

The download is free and contains the comments that match your search, with author, like count, text, date and a link to each comment. It opens in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers.

Videos, Shorts and share links

Paste a watch link, a youtu.be share link, a Shorts link or a live replay link. Channel links and playlist links do not work, because the finder searches one video at a time.
